Shoe Organization

I have a lot of shoes. To keep them all nice and pretty, I store them in those plastic Container Store shoe boxes. But the problem is, even though the boxes are clear, they are kept high up on the closet shelves. And I can't distinguish most of them by the bottom of the sole or heel.

I know some people tack a Polaroid outside the box. And I read somewhere that someone was printing out photos of shoes she buys and tapes those to the boxes. Good idea — but a little tricky to do since I can no longer find online images of most of my shoe purchases.

So, inspired by Manolo Blahnik Drawings, I've decided to go the illustration route:

I'm sketching and coloring the shoes on plain white index cards, which I'll then adhere to the boxes. This is going to be a looong process/project!
