Goings On
Yesterday, I was reminded of:
- How good the Slanted Door's spring rolls are. On a warm summer afternoon, it's hard to beat a cocktail and those rolls.
- How great it is to see old friends, even if it's just for 45 minutes right before they have to catch the Amtrak bus.
- How great it is to meet up with new friends, too.
- How delicious Thirsty Bear's tapas are. Prior to my trip yesterday, I hadn't been in ages! I'm amazed that the place is still SUCH a scene.
- Oh, and their sangria is delish.
- How much Bay Bridge traffic sucks ass. Ugh.
- How much I miss working downtown (because you know I need to live in the suburbs). Once upon a time, I could visit the SFMOMA during my lunch break ... The Ferry Building was within walking distance of my office ... *sigh*
- Of what a small world it is indeed. I ran into my SF Chronicle editor at the museum last night. And the day before, I bumped into a former co-worker at the Ferry Building.
And today I discovered:
- The "Simply Breakfast" blog which includes gorgeous shots of photographer Jennifer Causey's morning meals. I love this idea.
