Randomness
Okay, I'm a little behind on a few things these days. One of which is my "8 Random Facts About Me" post. Leah tagged me a couple of weeks ago, but I spaced out on this until I read Lisa's post yesterday about "8 Facts/Habits." So here goes:
- I don't tuck my shirt in. Ever. Even when it's business-casual day in the office. (Most days, I wear jeans, sneakers and a t-shirt to work.)
- My favorite comfort food dishes can only be made by my mom. The name of the dishes? "Yellow Noodles" and "Invisible Soup." I don't know exactly what's in them or how to make them.
- I like fresh oranges and orange juice, but cannot stand orange-flavored things. Orange Starburst? It's yours. Orange sherbert? Take it. Please.
- I see movies in the actual movie theater only about twice a year. And usually it's when I'm visiting with Jon's parents in Hilton Head Island, SC.
- When I was a kid, my mom tried to teach me how to sew with her machine. I had such a horrible experience that for years, I only sewed things by hand. Even articles of clothing. It wasn't until maybe five years ago that I made another attempt with a sewing machine. Now I can't understand what my problem was before!
- I once saw Rod Stewart in concert (with my boyfriend at the time), and loved the show. Really, I did.
- Jon and I met at work — my first job after grad school, his first after moving to the Bay Area from NYC. Since we were in different departments, we didn't really notice each other until my birthday, when he came into the conference room to grab a slice of cake. Thank goodness for cheesy office birthday celebrations!
- I am a notary public.
