- Friday night, I was introduced to some new folks (Rena and Lisa) who I've emailed with before, but never met in person. It's always nice to further get to know such lovely and talented people. I was also introduced to Pauline's Pizza, which was delicious. Not many pizza places actually have good desserts, but Pauline's did!
- We are making decisions around the house! Like where to put the diplomas (there seems to be a fine line between being proud of your accomplishments and beating visitors over the head with your degrees). And replacement lighting fixtures for our two hallways. We don't have high ceilings, so flushmounts were in order. We went with the Heath at Restoration Hardware because, in the oil-rubbed bronze finish, they're a tad modern, yet also in keeping with the more traditional features of our home. (Next up: Runners for the hallways.)
- Seeing Nicole's updates to her home office gives me hope for mine. We have the Billy bookcases in beech, and I've been on the fence about them. But look how nice hers look in her space!
- The Pac-10 sure is looking good this season, except for Stanford (sorry, Jon!). I'm waiting for Washington to crack the Top 25, too.
- I am trying to catch up on previous episodes of "Friday Night Lights" before the new season gets underway. This may be my new favorite show.
