My Last Supper
Photographer Melanie Dunea has a new book out called My Last Supper: 50 Great Chefs and Their Final Meals. What a cool idea! So cool, I thought I'd open this one up to comments.
Tell me, please what would you order for your last meal?
I think I'd opt for the tomato soup with puff pastry from Bistro Jeanty, followed by Ladurée macarons in every possible flavor.
Comments
My mom's beef stroganoff, (her secret is making it with filet mignon,) city bread from Arizmendi bakery in Oakland, Cowgirl Creamery cheese, and blackberry pie, also made by my mom.
Alternative entree: The Slanted Door's Shaking Beef.

Definitely comfort foods. Like my Mom's meatloaf and a side of mashed potatoes. And a cobbler for dessert.

roast bone marrow and parsley salad from st. john in london, fried fois gras bites from manresa in los gatos, also the sashimi with olive oil and citrus zest at manresa, grilled stuffed jalapeno with hamachi and some fresh nigiri from koo in san francisco, dessert would be homemade butter cookies from koo and illy coffee.

Mine at the moment would probably be lamb chops on the grill with balsamic glazed potatoes and brussel sprouts and a bottle of really good South African red wine. Mmmm...and raspberries for dessert.
