What a Week
Things have been so crazy the past few days!
- The Sunset Idea House just opened and I got the news sort of last-minute. So I was scrambling to arrange a press tour and write up a story for the SF Chronicle.
- I stayed up late last night finalizing a "House Call" for Apartment Therapy. The post on Molly Meng's home and studio went live earlier this morning, and I hope you'll check it out because her place is really sweet.
- Jon and I constantly accuse each other of being the worst homeowners ever. We bought our house about three years ago and have been meaning to make a number of changes (after our initial renovation), but somehow never find the motivation. This week, things seem to be coming together. We've got an electrician scheduled to install a bunch of stuff. And we may finally be replacing the interior doors. You see, there's a two-inch gap beneath every single door probably thanks to some fantastic shag carpeting that was previously in the home and it sucks. Hopefully, everything will work out with both of these projects.
- The Sunset Idea House features one of these newfangled natural gas tanks, to be used with the Honda Civic GX. Jon has been kicking around the idea of a hybrid for a while now (perhaps it's the guilt from all those years of driving an SUV?), but I'm thinking natural gas would be even cooler! So I've been distracting myself by doing research on the car.
- Grace was kind enough to include me in the design*sponge 2007 Gift Guide: Bloggers' Wishlist. I'm flattered to be in such good company.
- Oh, and of course there's the usual beginning-of-the-month fun at my day job, too.
I'm so ready for the weekend.
