Daze of the Week
What a week. In the middle of all of the moving madness, I had a writing deadline *and* ended up going to NYC for a couple of days. All good stuff, but very tiring!
Oh, here is a snapshot of the only box-free room in our house, the dining room:
And in case you're wondering: Yes, we are short several chairs in this photo. But they have been ordered and should be here any day now (an amazing housewarming gift from my sister). The candelabra is a holdover from the previous owners that I'm still debating about. And we need a longer runner now that we've expanded the dining table.

Very cool! So much light. So, would I be standing in this room if I were taking the previous picture of the kitchen?

Arawa: Yep! The kitchen is to the right of the dining area. I took the previous photo -- of the kitchen -- standing about where the far end of the table is now.
(I'm hoping to add a large mirror right above the credenza.)

Wow. That's got to be one of the top 10 best housewarming presents ever!
Looks like you've got a lot of great light in the house. I'm looking forward to seeing peeks as you settle in.

The table is a vintage piece from a shop in San Francisco. It probably should be refinished, but I actually like the (many) imperfections. The Cherner chairs are from DWR. We're actually going to pick up the rest of them today!

I'm always afraid of those hanging candelabras, like when the candles are lit, they could drip wax on your head. I do like how it's that cast iron look though.
