Poppies Blooming

In our neighborhood, there are poppies blooming everywhere. And I love it! I want to gather them up and bring them inside my house, but that would be illegal; poppies are the state flower and therefore protected.

So I'm hoping for the next best thing: one of Diana Fayt's latest pieces.

Poppies are not protected. They are so numerous that we couldn't kill them off if we tried. Being the state flower does not translate to protected. Bring them in and enjoy.

I agree. Pick 'em if you want 'em. However, if I recall correctly, they don't last very long in a vase. I'd just buy some seed and scatter them in your yard if you like them that much.
