Holiday Entertaining

Yesterday's SF Chronicle included an article I wrote about easy-peasy holiday entertaining. Jordan Ferney and the ladies of Studio Choo provided some awesome DIY ideas. For example:

Here are two of the brilliant invitations that Jordan devised. The third, which you can see in the story, was a larger box invitation with an ornament tucked inside.

Studio Choo came up with several projects, such as the mini winter forest and a garland made of shelled nuts that were painted matte white to resemble porcelain.

The amazing interior designer Paul Vincent Wiseman and Judy Sieber — who owns one of my favorite shops, Emily Joubert — also offered some simple and affordable tips.

All photos were taken by Mike Kepka for The Chronicle.

I was looking for a Golden Gate Bridge Ornament for my friends who got engaged on the bridge earlier this year . . . do you have any idea where I can find an ornament like the one in the photo?? It is perfect and just what I was looking for!!! Thanks

PDXBride - Jordan picked up the ornament at Restoration Hardware. But she mentioned that, around this time of year, Macy's often sells them as well. (Only catch is, you may have to be local to find them at either store.)

The nut garland is an adorable idea!
